We’ve been working with Endura for quite some time now, but until recently, we haven’t really shouted about it. That’s changing, because honestly, we’re proud to be supported by a Scottish brand that aligns so well with who we are and what we stand for.

At Alba Mountainbike, we care deeply about the local riding scene. Partnering with Scottish companies is more than just good business — it's vital for the growth of our own mountain biking economy. Supporting local brands helps strengthen our industry, build community, and create more opportunities for riders and businesses alike. For us, Endura is a perfect match. Not just because of their world-class gear, but because of their shared roots in Scotland and their commitment to doing things the right way.
That commitment is clear in everything they do, starting with the quality and performance of their gear. While Endura began in the world of road cycling, they’ve transitioned into mountain biking with ease. A big part of that success likely comes down to where they test their products. The Scottish Highlands are the perfect testing ground, and few places are as demanding as Fort William.

With over 1,500mm of rainfall each year spread across more than 180 days, it’s one of the wettest spots in the UK. This kind of climate separates quality kit from everything else. We’ve put Endura gear through its paces in these exact conditions and can confidently say it performs. As we head into another Scottish winter, we’re excited to be supported by a brand that genuinely understands our environment. After all, there’s no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing.

Of course, mountain biking kit is not just about performance — it’s also about protection. This is another area where Endura truly shines. We regularly recommend their MT500 helmet, which features Koroyd technology, a groundbreaking material that reduces the risk of concussion by up to 95 percent. That level of protection makes a big difference, especially for riders tackling technical terrain.
Endura has also added MIPS (Multi-directional Impact Protection System) to many of their helmets. MIPS reduces the rotational forces that can occur during a crash, offering even more protection for the rider. When we take groups out, we want everyone wearing a helmet that offers the best possible safety. The MT500 fits that need perfectly.

Beyond performance and safety, what really impresses us is Endura’s ethical and sustainable approach to business. They don’t just produce top-tier equipment — they’re focused on doing it responsibly. One aspect we really value is their garment repair service, which allows riders to send in gear for repair instead of throwing it away. Extending the life of clothing is one of the simplest but most effective ways to reduce waste, and Endura makes it easy to do.

Even more impressive is their pledge to plant one million trees every year. It’s a bold and ambitious goal that reflects a real commitment to environmental sustainability. With much of Scotland’s native forest long gone and large deer populations preventing regeneration, tree planting is essential. Endura’s work in this area is something we fully support.
At Alba Mountainbike, we are proud to be part of the Endura Clan. This isn’t just about having our logo next to theirs. It’s about a shared vision for better gear, safer riding, and a stronger, more sustainable mountain biking community in Scotland. We’re excited to continue growing this relationship and to see where it takes us next — rain or shine.
